Prairie Wreath Workshop
Sunday, October 4, 2026
11:00 AM - 1:30 PM
at Hedge Meadow:
140 S. Winsted Street
Spring Green, WI
Join us for an afternoon of herbal tea and natural wreath-crafting at Hedge Meadow!
Come for the outdoor crafts and tea, leave with a new skill that will change the way you observe and engage with gardens and prairies–and a one-of-a-kind handmade wreath to adorn your home this winter! Sun Circle Gardens will supply a curated collection of their locally grown specialty dried flowers, fragrant herbs, textured grasses, & grapevine wreath bases to build your very own wreath. A demonstration will be provided at the start of the class, as well as guidance along the way.
Wreaths remind us of the cyclical ways of our natural world, and that after the dark reflective hours of winter, a bounty of boisterous life awaits come summer.
Each wreath workshop we curate has a different collection of hand picked ingredients: this class is an ode to the beautiful prairies that have a special place in our heart. Some ingredients you can expect to see at the dried flower bar include: Prairie Sage, Little Blue Stem, Switch Grass, Golden Rod, Mugwort, Strawflowers, Celosia, Statice.
This class is for you if… you like trying new crafts, working with natural materials, are a gardener or nature lover, want to learn which plants dry well, want to learn how to dry your own herbs, or want to learn a new skill that you can carry with you and teach to others.
This class is not for you if... you find leaning over a table repeatedly uncomfortable, don’t like working and crafting with your hands, or get easily frustrated doing somewhat tedious projects.
Please note that this event will be held outdoors and while we expect lovely autumn weather, it is weather-permitting (if we need to cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund)!
