Celebrate the peak of Summer and the beauty of the Midwest’s blooming season at Hedge Meadow with Everlasting Flower Crowns & Herbal Keepsakes.

Create a colorful flower crown using some of our favorite everlasting blooms, then craft your own bundle of locally grown medicinal herbs to take home. Both could adorn your wall at home and serve as a reminder of Summer’s bounty. We’ll spend the afternoon gathered on the beautiful back patio at Hedge Meadow Apothecary, nestled amongst the rolling hills of Spring Green, celebrating the abundance and beauty of the season. Demonstrations will be provided at the start of class by Danielle and Jodi, and guidance will be available along the way.

Come to slow down during what can be such a busy time for us all! Enjoy good company, create something special with your hands, and celebrate the season with us. The shop will be open to explore all the magic of Hedge Meadow, who will be providing a steamy pot of herbal tea for us to share. 

Some ingredients to expect at the Fresh Flower Bar include: Strawflowers, Golden Rod, Statice, Zinnias, Amaranth, Marigolds, Celosia, Gomphrena

Herbs to expect for your Keepsakes will likely include: Mint, Mugwort, Prairie Sage, Lemon Balm, Tulsi Basil

Class agreements: We ask that you do your best to arrive on time to observe the provided demonstration. Do not take more ingredients than guided when moving through the flower bar so that everyone has a chance to work with every flower type. There will opportunities to circle back for more. Please leave a little time at the end of class to tidy up your space, and return tools to their baskets, it all goes a long way.

Other considerations: Dress comfortably for an outdoor activity. Bring a water bottle, or snack if you feel you may need it. Bring a back pillow or seat cushion if you perhaps prefer to sit while making your flower crown. (Chairs provided) Bring a blanket if you think you might be interested in sprawling out and working on the ground.

Contents of our “A la Carte Bouquets” vary week by week, are always harvested within 36 hours, grown completely pesticide free, and arranged and wrapped with care. The stems tend to be kept long for the sake of travel and maximum hydration- trim with a sharp pruner or scissor to fit your favorite vase, and change that water frequently!

Bloom Buckets reflect a mixed harvest of what is growing best in the garden that week! Featuring a blend of various flowers, foliage, and filler- You will have everything you need to play florist for the day. Whether that looks like making a few bouquets around the house, at your business, a celebration, or just to give fresh flowers to someone you love.

Pick-up on the East or West side of Madison on Thursdays, as seen in the attached form during check out.

6 flower bouquets total, over a span of 11 weeks! Enjoy the abundance of our flower garden all growing season long, and experience the season’s change as your bouquets morph from Summer to Fall varieties and color ways- each bouquet will be different and reflect the current state of the garden in all its glory.

This subscription includes 5 fresh bouquets, and 1 everlasting dried bouquet, picked up on a bi-weekly basis. Our flowers are all grown by us on our small flower farm, are pesticide-free, and harvested within 36 hours of drop-off. All subscriptions operate on a pick-up basis.
